Xtend SMS is a multi-threaded system. This means that when each new operation is started – like receiving an incoming SMS message, processing the request, etc – a new “thread” is started off to handle that task and the previous thread goes back to waiting for the next such task to come by. Thus, it can simultaneously process a theoretical infinite number of SMS messages (to a given SINGLE SMS message with the GSM Modem). This reduces the response (or “lead”) time to each request considerably.

Connectivity

Xtend SMS supports serial port and Ethernet based systems. Serial port versions can be used in places that require less than 4 units. The ethernet-based units can be used in places that require 4 or more units. Xtend SMS is thus scalable and the units can be thus “stacked” – or added one after another to get unparalleled scalable solutions. And, best of all, not a single line of your software solution does not need to be changed in anyway, nor any additional hardware setups to be performed when you are adding more Xtend SMS units to handle larger load when the SMS flow exceeds the expected limits. Therefore, no matter how large your requirement, Xtend SMS can respond to it.
