Fixed Cellular Terminal (FCT) OEM model is a very compact hardware device that supports incoming and outgoing calls, and is compatiable with both GSM and CDMA. This model has a built-in intelligent charger, which ensures that the handset battery is always kept charged. |
| |
FCT OEM model comes with an additional line reversal feature. Four different types of line reversals - Off, GSM, One-side voice and Two-side voice - are possible in this hardware unit. One of the main requirements of enabling the line reversal features is when billing is needed. When there is a situation where call should be connected only if the connection is established and somebody responds from the other side, here also the line reversal features should be enabled. |
| |
When line reversal feature is not required, you can set it 'off' in the Xtend FCT OEM model. If your are connecting to a GSM SIM based phone, you should set the line reversal feature of Xtend FCT OEM to 'GSM'. If you set the line reversal to 'One-side Voice', when a voice is heard from the other end, the line reversal is enabled. Here, since the device cannot identify the voice from the other side of the phone is original human voice or from an answering machine or IVR, the Xtend FCT OEM will enable the line reversal when a voice is heard from the other side. To overcome this problem, there is the fourth type of line reversal available in Xtend FCT OEM - two-side voice line reversal. If you set the line reversal to 'Two-side Voice', the line reversal is enabled only when the voice is heard from both the sides. |
