Let us take the example of a marketing company, viz., M/s. ABC Systems who is in the field of marketing computer systems and accessories in India. They have 10 marketing executives and 5 support staff for their operations. The entire field staff is provided with mobile phones and one mobile phone is kept in the office for communicating with them. All the mobile phones are in the CUG (Closed User Group) scheme. GSM/CDMA Mobile service providers in India charge 75 paise per minute for a call anywhere to any number in India. This is the maximum charge and if you go further into their special schemes, their charges even come down to 40 paise per minute. In this example, let us take it as 75 paise per minute. Assuming one call of ABC Systems last 4 minutes, cost per call is Rs. 3/- (Re 0.75 x 4) |

Note that, here the calls made by the office to the field are not considered. Also note that CDMA Mobile service providers in India has a special scheme in which mobile to mobile calls in the CUG are absolutely free! That is, if you are installing an Xtend FCT in the office in this example, your savings per month is Rs. 11250!! Another advantage is that since the FCT is connected to the EPABX system, the field staff can directly talk to the office person as if he/she is talking in a land line. If a mobile is used in the office instead of FCT, it has to be carried to the person to whom the call is each time.
